Hi Mark,
Good to see you back on line,I noticed that if I hit the Tab key by mistake when I intend to hit the Caps Lock key ,a message shoots off! My quuestion is,what value feedback resistors do you recommend for 3db and 6db of feedback for twelve output tubes.I believe that some feedback can be more benificial than no feedback at all depending entirely on the type of speakers used. All this soundstage opened up type of talk I take with a pinch of salt.I intend installing a switch on each of my jury-rigged amps and if I think that switching the feedback in tightens up the sound for rock or whatever ,then the switch will stay.My speakers are Martin-Logan ReQuests by the way ,a fabulous American speaker.Way better than any British speaker. But it's only an opipnion and that is what makes HiFi so much fun,we all agree to disagree. My amps are all on aluminium plates from the metal work-shop ,in sections,. so that I can flip over any section that I want, sitting on two wooden boards all connected with bits of what ever wire I could scrounge. When its all up and running I intend installing it properly.I think this is the way to go if you enjoy tinkering ,although it does take up a lot of time.Thank you for all your technical help,it's been greatly appreciated.Have a great weekend.
Regards, John.
