Mark -I've tapped the tranny for 12VAC and now am using 12SX7s. I heard that people are also adding a cap to the circuit when doing this modification.
Have you heard of this?I have an issue with the 12SX7s and I thought maybe this rumour that I heard might address it. I find the 12SX7 does indeed sound less distorted and I have noticed some improvements because of it. However, I have noticed a negative or two. It seems like macro dynamics have decreased.
