If I understand correctly this is the plate of the CCS. So either
the grids of V1 are heavily positive, or something is pulling the
V1 grids down. Check the voltages on all pins (except 7 & 8) of V1
and V2 and post them, together with the equivalent voltages in the
other chassis.Is any sound coming out? Is it different from the other amp?
If you still have sound coming out then the tubes are not seriously
damaged, but if V1 is running with +12V on the grids then they
will certainly be getting hot in a way they weren't designed for.
