OP, if I were you I would instead consider a horn loaded sub. Our fellow Asylum member Bill Fitmaurice has available a number of plans for good horn subs. I chose his HT Tuba horn loaded 25 Hz quarter wave horn, and I love them. I've no doubt other sources also offer good horn sub plans. Do this and you will end up with a near SOTA sub instead of a lesser design. I say this as one who built a Sono Tube pair of subs before I wised up and built a pair of bass horns.
