RE: 10" driver for BFM T18?

It's a tough driver to beat, so long as you don't overdo it. I've had reports of them failing in AutoTubas, but I chalk that up to abuse, which isn't exactly unheard of in auto sound. I have one in my home theater TableTuba. It's still going strong after ten years plus. On rare occasions, like when watching 'Interstellar', it gets pushed a bit too hard, and I think "I need to drop a ten in there", but never to the point that I bother doing it.
