I knocked a pair up and ran them with a couple of old Philips one inch mylar dome tweeters. They worked well but I fried the domes in short order. They played loud and went a lot lower than the tweeters did on thier own. The Vc's on the tweeters were worse for ware to begin with but it was a good experience while it lasted. The air collum in the tube presents a good solid load on the dome. They were made up from plumbing tube and I hand drew the pattern so not scientific but fast and easy with a Dremmel tool. Cost nothing to make.
