Hi Pix - - K15 with low fs Altec would probably make a "pretty good" sounding sub - by tuning lower there would be ~6-7dB more output vs stock tuning at 32Hz and more at 20-22Hz. It would be futher boosted with a bandpass circuit or underdamped 2nd order highpass circuit as used in the old EV Interface speakers. Exemplar likes K15 for sub-duty. I think it would behave on the bottom about like a 6th order reflex but there would be some gain vs reflex on top and better damping - might be happy-accident.

my Druid clone with 1uF cap would be ~15KHz "xover" - it had good dynamics and slam fot a little speaker - its midbass didn't sound as open as open baffle but I didn't play much with the stuffing (might you tell me how Druid is "stuffed"?) - Being larger, K15 could have more slam, but perhaps colorations which you might not like :^)
