New high resolution SACD releases, players and technology.

Not a good effort, George.

A complete disagreement with your position does not make a post a "troll." But let us review your points, so I may take my "bruisin (sic)"

Let's see: my false assumption ("mistake") number 1: "You made the false assumption that Accuphase gear is not voiced to sound like real music." Straw man, George? My statement was not about how Accuphase equipment is voiced: it was about the equipment being "warm:" I stand by that statement. A lot of the live music I hear is "warm," not "analytical," or "pin-point accurate" (terms I've heard used to describe the superiority of digital). You, however, did state the following:

"Accuphase players are accurate to the original event, NOT warm!" Now you offer up this gem in your last post:

"Ofcoarse(sic) their sound isn't an exact reproduction of the original, regardless of recording or media!"

Well what's it going to be? So I'm the one who twisted around the relevant issues to make my point? You just back-tracked, George, though I guess I was unable to fill in the blanks in your initial statement. My mistake.

Now, my false assumption ("mistake") number 2: I thought you said "Accuphase cd players sound like vinyl playback." My mistake. This is in fact what you said:

"If you want to compete with vinyl, you will have to by(sic) an Accuphase."

Oh wait a minute. "What I said was their players are sonically competitive with properly designed tables, nothing more." You actually stated less. "Vinyl," not "properly designed tables." There are lots of digital players that compete with "properly designed tables." But competing with "vinyl?" I don't agree. You weren't nearly as specific in your initial statement that started this little bruhaha. Again, for clarity: "If you want to compete with vinyl, you will have to by(sic) an Accuphase."

Just a simple question: what do you think is the best vbinyl playback to date? Is it Rockport? Or Walker? Or Kuzma + Airline? Or is it Redpoint with Schroeder?? I'm curious what it was. I already know that you think Accuphase is the best EVER, so I want to know how far off I am with vinyl too.

George, you're not the only one who is "trully( sic) familiar with live sound." If that was a precondition for buying Accuphase, that's what we'd all have. But many paople don't. And many who do, yourself included I'm "assuming," are very happy. But you speak in absolutes, and that just isn't kosher.

Enjoy your weekend.
