Not that some people won't notice the change or prefer a change in sound over stock, but the bottom line is that changing the style of earpads on your HD600 WILL change the sound. Always.
Dekoni Audio (unlike most aftermarket earpad manufacturers) has done the testing and has taken the measurements. During testing, they discovered that the only replacement earpad they make that that does NOT alter the sound of the HD600 is their " EPZ-HD600 Elite Velour" model.
And why? Because, the "Elite Velour" handmade replacement earpads are, basically, copies of the stock HD600 style earpads: No leather, pleather, or hybrid construction... just 100% breathable "velour".
So now we can know what to expect when we change out our earpads for something other than the stock style - on the HD600, at least...
