I'm trying to use an outboard headphone amp with my Marantz AV-7005 processor/preamp but I'm having a problem. I have it connected to the CDR output which, according to the 7005's manual,is the equivalent tape out output jack. I'm getting very little signal to the headphone amp, I have to turn the volume to max on the HA to hear anything at all.I'm at a loss here as to how to hook this HA up to the Marantz. It has four analog signal outputs (VCR,CDR,Zone 1&2)and I've tried them all with the same result. I'm beginning to wonder if I can even use an outboard HA with this preamp. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can make this work?
