When it comes to my headphones vs. my speakers, I tend to favor whichever I've been listening to most. Whenever I think one is clearly better, I listen to the other for a while and my opinion balances out to different but equal-ish.

I know I can do much better on both fronts, but I'm starting to think I'm at "good enough" with both until a once in a lifetime deal presents itself.

The main lesson I've learned is to stop comparing headphones to speakers with the intent of declaring one superior to the other. For me the experiences are too different for that. Both have a role in my listening, and that's where I'm leaving it.

I agree with all and, like you, have reached that "good enough" stage and only want to upgrade if an incredible deal presents itself.
