sometimes they can be swapped. My taboo can use 12AU&,12AT7 and 12AX7 . Kind of cool as I can really get way different sound. Another thought if you like closed can go for the D200 other option also are the Shure SRH 840 which can be had for under 150.00 a great closed can with good isolation and will play well on hybrid amplifiers. The D2000 and I wou,lld still try the 600 ohm can as Amazon has 30 day policy as most dealers do but the 250 OHM 880 and Sennheiser HD600 and 650 are also options but more money. But if you can score a D200 cheap why not. JR Music if you haggle sometimes lets them go for 200.00 pair anything lower is a major score.
