Probably not so hard as you think. I'm using Magnepan 3.6's, subwoofer and Anthem ARC, and it's distinctly superior to any headphones I've heard (I'm a big Sennehiser fan, the hd580's are still my go-to).

There is an immersion, realism and depth (and bass drum) you can't get with the headphones, and the clarity and tonality is just as good.
