Got a pair of these off EBay. Pretty good price. Man, these have to be the worst sounding headphones, out of the box. No midrange. Very muffled. But, after a whole weekend of break-in (playing music through pre-amp) --- sound is not bad.
Certainly, not the super clean highs of most high-end phones. But a pretty good blend of mids and rolled-off highs. Like a nice vintage tube amp. Solid bass.
If you have one of these, don't toss it after first listen. Plug into pre-amp and play for 48 hours, before even trying to listen to the set. These phones took longer to break-in than my Hana turntable cartridge.
