I have no peer-level frame of reference with which to compare the Audeze LCD-2(rev.2)/Violectric HPA V200 combination that I bought a couple of months ago.I have been into hi-fi for over 35 years with never once having owned a decent headphone set-up.

I got a windfall recently and decided to treat myself to a really good headphone/amp set-up.My initial intention was to buy the Sennheiser 800s,but having seen the posts about the Audeze,I decided that their tonal balance was one that I would prefer.

The LCD-2s arrived about 2 weeks before the Violectric,so I utilised the headphone socket of my Kenwood L-A1 integrated,which was sufficient to give me an idea of the quality of the LCD-2s.The arrival of the Violectric took things to another level,and like yourself I am most impressed with the ability of the V200 to synergise with the LCD-2 so as to render works more musically accessible,coherent and the rhythmic aptitude.

The combination is no slouch musically.The problem I think,after listening to this combination,is finding loudspeakers and amps( and rooms)which synergise as ably.
