Closed Ear Headphones

OK, I'm looking for a good set of closed ear headphones. My wife listens to the TV next to my music room, and I get bleed into my HiFi Man and Sennheiser headphones. A fellow AA member had recommended a pair of Meze, but I've not been impressed with the reviews. I'm leaning towards a pair of AQ Nightowls, and HR from Stereophile and I have discussed at length via email. My budget is $750 or so. I have a Shiit Valhala II headphone amp, so we're good there.

As an aside - I am a bass lover, and many headphone fall short for me on the low end.

So, any recommendations?
