You can try it both ways and find out for yourself. Or, you can always try to contact the manufacturer(s) for any technical questions pertaining to the design and/or operating requirements of a piece of gear. Try contacting Headroom first, because you will probably get an answer more quickly that way. The ones who designed the gear should know! If they say it does not matter which way you do it, I would probably try it both ways anyway (just to prove to myself the truth of the matter). If neither way sounds better and neither way is the recommended way, then obviously it would not matter which way you do it. Also, once you find out the answer to your question and/or have tried everything you can try please let us know what the final results were.
