I was using a Cambridge Audio CD player with a Peachtree DAC into my Sound Quest SQ84-V2 amp and HD800's.

And it sounded great.

But I just updated to a Marantz SA8004 SACD player and now my setup sounds so FREAKING GOOD it's literally distracting. To use the obvious cliche I am 'blown away' by how good this sounds.

Front ends matter. A LOT.
