I have to agree. If these were the same product family within the same brand, then perhaps some things are gained at the expense of others as one moves up the line.

Being that they are different designs from different companies, then no. Plenty of people listen to planar or dynamic speakers, irrespective of any price.

Too much simplistic thinking going on.
