i already bought my player last weekend (Sony DRU-700A) and have burnt about 3-4 discs so far.it's very cost effective - player was A$166, blank discs are A$11 (around US$7-8)
by the way, i'm not illegally copying DVDs, just in case anyone think i'm flying a pirate flag. i have a lot of recordings captured from free to air Digital TV (australia supports HDTV using the DVB standard) and i need to desperately free up hard disk space on my PC!
