Choke-165 in choke input PS....?

Hi,
I have AN Choke-165 in cap input PS now feeding DIY 300B amp. I plan to try 2A3 in place of 300B and want to experiment with choke input PS as it would also provide lower voltage needed.
Can AN choke be used in choke input PS or is it designed specially for cap input?
