Yes it is possible to rewire it to Triode mode.

Remove like you say the Grid2 supply, and as far as I know, add a 100ohm resistor between grid2 and plate.
100ohm adding was told by a friend of mine in another forum.

Well while at it, best to remove also the negative feedback.

I liked the sound very much, but there are some trouble with my tubes.
So a final test and listening session can't be done yet.
Got to get some new tubes first.

The gain increases when removing the negative feedback.
But then again the gain also reduces when rewiring to Triode, so I don't
know how much one thing will eliminate the other.
