Briefly, I have an opportunity to get a Kit 4 speaker. I have to make the call on those vs. factory AN/E Spe HEs and rather soon.
The one negative of the Alnico is it's speced 3dB (actually 4?) less sensitive. That is significant when using 45s/2A3s.
My fave amps now are 2A3 monos that put out 4W. I don't listen too loudly. I would really love some feedback from somebody who has owned the Kit 4 (or factory Alnico AN/Es) and used them with <5W amps - thanks much in advance!
