I bought a speaker kit03, and finally got my plywood, so im planing the building proces of the cabinets.
I was wondering, if anyone has experience or advice concerning how to assemble the stuff. I can think of using glue, screws, dowels (or perhaps a combination.)
- The 5 cm strip/bracer midway - to the front/back/side panels
- The extra plate for the woofer - to the front panel
- How tight can/should the front/back panel be fittet in? (I was considering making them just a little too big – and then put them in a dry room + the side/top in medium/high moisture room … then fit+glue). Would that bring too much tension to the front panel (which are supposed to swing with the woofer)?
Because AN/E's are designed to swing with the sound, they are constructed otherwise, and i cannot use tips from "ordinary" DIY-speakers :(
