Valves for the Dac 2.1 level B advice needed!

Hello all,

I need to ask your opinions about valves in my DAC. I will beign with the output stage. The unit came with two EH 6922 valves. I have never preferred the sound of Russian or Chinese manufactured tubes. I have always preferred American and British made valves from vintage times.

I have in my possession, 6 Mullard PCC88/7DJ8 valves which I bought NOS around 1994. I used to use these in my old preamp and hybrid amp. I also have a pair of RCA 6DJ8s, a pair of Yugoslavian 6DJ8s and an assortment of other tubes, primarily Russian.

After some break in I decided to install a pair of the PCC88s in the output stage. I sprayed the pins with Deox-it to clean them up.

I do notice better low frequency respone and a slightly deeper perspective.

For the M2 power suplly, I have two NOS Mullard (one branded GE) Blackburn made ECL82 valves. I also have a Raytheon 6X5 and a Bendix NOS 6X5.

I will wait a day or two before I roll the tubes in the power supply.

I really want to hear from all of your experiences with Valves, tube dampers, isolation devices, etc.

I know it is hard to get NOS tubes so European made tubes like Siemens and Telefunken are difficult to locate.

Do you feel my stock of tubes is sufficient or should I try other tubes?

I welcome to hear from all of you!

Thanks in Advance.
