RGA,
LX refers to the internal cabling, which is copper. The voice coils of the drivers are silver.
I've been living with E/SPe HE's, (with the hemp woofer) for a number of months now, sometimes using a 45 amp (<2 watts) and other times a 300B (9 watts). Both work very well. The way the silver voice coils and the hemp woofer contribute to the system getting of the starting line - the no signal to a very, very small signal transition - lends itself to resolving very fine details.
And yes, of course, you can always step the cabling up later on without disturbing the matching of the drivers and xo's.
Keep your ears and your mind open.
