Dear Skite,I did reply to your email, but it bounced back, 3 times.
Our tweeters are not a direct drop in replacement, as they are at least 2 - 3 dB more efficient depending on which version we look at, so some adjustment is needed to the crossover to get the balance of the Type E back to where it was, the best way is not to slug the tweeter but instead to rest the woofer for the better efficiency, which makes it better than it was!
I am thinking of setting up a small simplified test arrangement with someone in the US to offer this reset service to all old Snell Type K, J and E owners, so that these fine speakers can be given a new lease of life and continue to please their listeners with magic performance, any takers??
I am quite serious about this idea!
Sincerely,
Peter Qvortrup
