Hi,
I have asked about using CV181 on the Kit 1 on this forum some time ago, but no one knows the answer, then I have send an e-mail to PQ and he answer the following:
"the CV181 should work fine in place of the 6SN7 and should sound better as well".
THis works fine as a 6SN7 replacement on KIT 1, I don't know if works on Kit 2.
Finally, I can say that my 1946 MUllard CV181 sound better (precise, not too warm, not too cold)than some others that I have own.
Hope this help.
Regards,
Beto
