I have owned both and find the Kit 3 to be more refined with tighter bass, the midrange is a little leaner too. I think the drivers integrate better because of the extra control of the woofer. The tweeter is more revealing and sometimes I find it too much so if the source is not of the highest quality. I did not find a big difference in the effeciency even though it is 97db I pretty much set the volume on my Soro SE to the same place as before.
