Indeed OUCH. Even at wholesale, sixteen 6550s are not what they used to cost. The ones in it now are from ARC, and sound nice, but yeah, a retail purchase of a full set would be pretty painful. Super painful from ARC.
My "other" issue is my current preamp has a built in phono which is very nice, but it is too large to double up (that preamp + new balanced). I would have to find one with a built in phono that was nice that has balanced outputs, or purchase yet another piece of gear (If I keep the M300s, I want fewer, not more other gear items :)
