Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |

Decided to give another tube preamp a try in the main system. So while searching for a candidate I came across Musical Paradise MP-701 Mk2, then as I looked more and found the dealer in Canada website, the MK3 was about to be released, and it seemed like a great deal so I ordered one.
What really sold me was the fact that it offers almost unlimited easy tube and cap rolling, so since I already have lots of the tubes it can use, and some caps, it's a great opportunity to use them.
Got it about a month ago and it's been great, can't believe it was only $800.00 including shipping from China. Already rolled the tubes and coupling caps. It has a huge bold presentation, wide and deep soundstage .
It can use so many different tubes , but I don't plan on trying them all, especially some of the more expensive one which I do not have. The stock tubes were ok, I replaced them last week with some NOS 6922s , which was a nice upgrade, now I am trying some 6SN7s.
It's hard to tell which I prefer.
