This is what I am using to extend the range of the remote. I have the 6 foot version but longer ones are available. If you don't have a USB socket nearby, you could use a small cell phone wall charger cube.Mine is plugged in to one of the USB sockets on that Raspberry Pi to the left of the Pre90.
