Well i ended up getting it, I am not disappointed that i did. Spent around 2.5 hours with it yesterday. It certainly loves music from a direct source, CD Quality playback was extremely detailed and smooth, MP3 sourced via Amazon Music wasn't so pleasant though i can play with that for better results. The speakers sound very good but require attention to positioning, not unlike my 601's. I have one linn speaker cable that needs new clips installed but everything else is pretty much in great working order.
I have to admit to my ears anyway there is something special about these products. The sound they produce is very accurate, They do sound very different from most of anything i have owned, that isn't a bad thing, Its very detailed, It is NOT a power monster though. It will fill a room just fine and sound wonderful but i was continuously at around 70% of peak yesterday which is not something i am used too. I may have to explore power amplification but right now i am not sure i will completely need it
Looking forward to spending plenty more hours with the Linn
