All of his Levinson made gear are classics; highly coveted even today. He worked at Cello before Parasound; right ? Where else ? Did you all know he helped the Grateful Dead with stage sound and their massive speaker arrays ?
Concerning moving coil headamps, AKA pre-preamps, his JC-1AC from Mark Levinson is still today a master classic. It was/is one of the few solid state pre-preamps that retains soundstage info. Many of the moving coil cart step-up tranny SUT users would ditch their trannies after hearing that headamp ! The 1970s SOTA headamp was also JC designed...
