I'm using the phono stage of a nearly 30 year old CJ Premiere 3 into my Line Magnetic 218IA via the CJ's tape outs. Wonderful combination. Don't discount any of these older classic pre-amps. The heart and soul and main thrust of pre-amp design in that period was the phono section.
