RE: Question on CJ vs. Sonographe and pre amp

I have a Sonograph preamp packed away somewhere waiting on one of my sons to get his system up and running. I didn't like it. It was sorta harsh sounding, and started looking for a CJ tube preamp shortly after that.
Later I went thru an ASL, a Quicksilver and a Odyssey Candella, plus the CJ. The Candella resides in my downstairs system, and the CJ is upstairs in my bedroom system. All have a different sound, but those two are the ones I liked best.
