You beat me to posting about the same topic, though my ETs and Maggie 3.7i's are in the same room. Last month I bought a pair of LFT-8b"s from someone in South FL. One speaker workers fine, even with a collapsed woofer dome. The other speaker was damaged at each panel mounting hole on the bass cabinet. Looks like it was dropped and then hit from the back of the panel to pull the panel away from the bass cabinet. I ordered a new bass cabinet. Additionally, a new (B-stock) tweeter and midrange are on order. I spent $200.00 for the speakers and another $800.00 for the tweeter, midrange and stabilizing rods which fit under the bass cabinet. The cross-over needed work and that is repaired. I probably labored for five or six hours. Once the tweeter and midrange are replaced I'll compare the 8b's to the 3.7i's.
Equipment includes a Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 integated amp with Room Perfect room correction and an Audio Kinesis Swarm sub system with four subs and a separate amp. The TDAI-1120 also has crossover settings on the outputs so I can use a Magtech amp to drive the highs on each speaker. Watch for more once the 8b's are operational.
