Opinions on Quad L Sub?

I have never used a sub after decades of audiophila and so have little knowledge of them. I am interested in considering a sub to mate with my quad 57's and focal micro utopia be's. Does anyone have an opinion on the Quad L or L-ite sub? I would assume that a sub made by Quad would be ideal for use with the 57's and then again Quad is also producing box speakers and may have designed their sub with these in mind. Is there another sub I should consider?
