Magnepan MGII, needs repair

Hi guys, first post in the Planar Asylum.
I recently acquired two (yes, two) pairs of Magnepan MGII's (one being an MGIIb). One speaker is working, but the bass panel on the other works intermittently. I took the sock off, and it appears the problem is isolated to one location (see photo). The voice coil surprisingly has not delaminated at all from the mylar panel.
This appears to be a simple fix. I have read a few repair articles and have some idea of how to do it. If anyone has any specific tips, or has done a repair like this before, I would really appreciate any guidance you can give.
