RE: Theory ?? Does having long wires AFTER the crossover change the phase much?

I've tried once to put the crossover right after the amp because it seems legit and thought that if the wire would carry less ''weight'' it would be better... From what I've heard I had a lost in bass too... Not a slight difference, a huge difference that even a non-audiophile could hear. Dunno the scientific ''why'', went back to original setup.

@tyu : Seems like a cry from the heart but tweaking and learning is a huge part of the fun for a lot of people here. Most of my mods are cheap and got to fill some obvious lack in design from Magnepan. The cheapest Solen caps (which they used for years) sound really really harsh, russian paper oil cap cost me 20$ and I've spend quality time modding my SMG... that simple. You think Magnepan provide us from the best they can do or the best they can do and maximising their profit?

And the subject was about the lack of bass after putting the crossover near the amp... not some silly and/or way too expensive tweaks.
