RE: What's behind your ears is as important as what's in front

In a perfect setting things can be very nice, indeed.

But many of us do not have perfect rooms for our systems.
In smaller rooms some have no other choice but to have the listening chair or sofa against the rear wall. This "can" have an unwanted affect with reflections from the rear wall behind the listener.
I have found + I know others as well, prefer to have the area behind the listener treated with some type of Acoustic treatment.
When it comes to treatments, size of room enters in to it and if one listens in near field, one must take that into account as well.
Just my experience.
