I'm not sure that's accurate, but it's close. The actual XO components only add up to a few bucks, and are easy enough to change - if one wishes to experiment a little. I'll soon be returning to the PLL, with a minor modification. I'll contact you soon, if you don't mind.
Alan, Davey is absolutely right about using a PLL at line level instead of an active device for a simple 1st order XO. From an audiophile perspective, consider the purity of the approach - simple passive devices operating in the small signal world. Again, I have no experience with Behringer, but it was in the context of the PLLXO that I realized the shortcoming of a pretty well designed piece of electronics.
