Hi Stevie,
The zener protective boards act like limiters. They limit the dynamic range
the speaker can handle by not allowing high volume levels to be played through. If you order and install those Super Treble Panels then the first thing you'll have to do is to get rid of them and then enjoy the punch and slam of high level transients like you never heard before.
I can tell you a few important people who already have them if you like.
