The main mistake people make with Maggies, I think, aside from giving them too little power, is not giving them enough room. My MMGs are 7 feet from the back wall and about 8 feet from my listening position, and they have about three feet of clearance from the side walls. No way I could accommodate 20's in my room, not that I could afford the 20's anyway.
If I had the room and spare cash, I would jump on 'em. In fact, I wouldn't bother with the 1.6/1.7, good as they are. I like my MMG's so much that I wouldn't want to upgrade them unless I was getting 3.6's or 20.1's or whatever their equivalents will be in the future. Looks like I'm stuck with the little Maggies . . . ;)
