I like bags of lead shot (about 10 lbs/spkr)_on the top edge of the frame; primary area of improvement was mids/highs. I also built much stiffer replacement stands and loaded them with lead shot bags (75 lbs/spkr); primary area of improvement was bass. The stands are equipped with adjustable spikes in very firm contact with the concrete slab, and the top edges of the speakers (3.6) are tipped forward about 1".
