Getting low resistance is usually quite easy to achieve

What is more important for many systems is the effect of inductance and capacitance. Both of which can qualitatively affect the signal by interaction with crossovers and amplifier input stages. The ideal is to get the dielectric constant (product of L and C divided by propagation velocity) as close to the value "1" as possible.
