When I first got my MMGs I tried them with my little Hafler DH-120 that develops about 95 watts into 4 ohms. Wasn't really happy with the performance, but my room is about twice the size of yours and opens up into an area much larger. Bear in mind that I listen to lots of electric Jazz and fusion too.
It did work though, and I agree with the other comments that for your room size and listening habits you should be fine.
