I'm just curious as to how far from edge of the 'frame' the mylar starts. How thick is the frame at the edge? Is it 'solid' or thin sheet metal over a core?

My goal is to build frames for my 16s, but I'm reluctant to go 'fishing' by just taking them apart before I'm ready.....
