Just ordered some DAP contact cement. Cost me about $22 with the shipping though, but I guess I'd better get the right stuff! (shipping was about 8 times the cost of the DAP!)
Now I am going to have to work out how to get the socks off (will do a search!). I am not looking forward to the staples bit I have read about!

I'll have a look for some acetone to get the job properly. Used to work in a Chemistry lab would have been easy to get some, but perhpas I'll find some at a pharmacy?!

Wanted to ask, - when you use the DAP how do you get the wires to stick, - PG said something about using a clothes peg taken apart, - I assume with the DAP the wire/mylar sets very quickly which is why this will be OK? Is this the best method or should I use another?
