Yep,
I am surprised that once I took the subsonic filter out, I routinely dial back the volume from the setting I am used to to one a few db lower.
Seems that what I have been missing in playback was significant sub-bass below 30 hz. I was dialing up the volume till sub-bass output was sufficient to overcome the subsonic filter.
